Directional Flows & Events
The Directional Flows chart overlays classified on-chain transfer activity and curated market events on top of the token’s price history.
This view helps visualize how market participants and insiders position around key events, such as token unlocks, listings, and major news, and highlights significant accumulation and distribution activity.
Transfers are analyzed using Inflecta’s labeling and aggregation framework to determine whether they represent directional market positioning or non-directional liquidity activity.
The chart also supports beta-adjusted time series, currently available relative to ETH and BTC.
Flows Overlay
Transfer events are represented by bubbles whose color reflects the economic nature of the flow.
Accumulation is represented by green bubbles: transfers from trading venues to buy or sell side entities. Market Makers flows are excluded from accumulation as they are considered to be inventory management.
Insider distribution is shown with red bubbles and includes treasury and insider allocations. These flows are tracked across multiple hops until tokens reach market-facing infrastructure such as centralized exchanges, prime brokers, market makers, and sell-side firms.
Non-insider distribution is represented by pink bubbles. These flows occur when entities that previously accumulated tokens from the open market reduce their exposure and transfer tokens back toward liquidity venues or sell-side actors.
Non-directional flows are shown with grey bubbles and represents market makers' inventory management, as well as post-trade settlement transactions.
Events Overlay
In addition to transfer activity, the chart highlights curated market events, including:
exchange listings
token unlocks
relevant project or market news
These events help contextualize changes in directional flows and market reactions.
